How would it feel to you to make money while you sleep?
I know as a Virtual Assistant you might already be making enough money to keep you happy, and you just don’t have the spare time to do anything else right now. I get it.
However, what happens if one of your clients drops you suddenly? That income goes with the client, then you’re back to using your precious time finding a new client to replace the one you just lost.
Maybe working for yourself provides you with a sense of anxiety, knowing that you’re solely relying on the services you provide month to month to pay the bills.
What about your work life balance? Do you feel you’re constantly grinding for your clients to keep a stable wage, which has affected the free time you actually have for yourself?
So I’ll ask you again, how would it feel to make money while you sleep?
That’s exactly what you’ll be doing if you create one or more streams of passive income. You’ll spend time creating something once, put it out there to the world, and with minimal future effort will bring in further revenue for you.
Sounds great right? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying this is super simple! It may take a great deal of your time to start with, maybe even some investing, and some smart marketing, but this is only an investment in yourself and your business. And then, you will be making money while you sleep!
Here are 7 of the best passive income ideas for Virtual Assistants
As a Virtual Assistant it’s highly likely that you already have a website set up. If you don’t, and you wish to consider blogging for passive income, now is a good time to get one created for yourself.
Blogging is not only great to showcase your skills to potential clients when they visit your website, and get yourself known as an expert in your field. But it’s an excellent platform to create uncapped passive income.
You can do this through affiliate marketing. For example, there might be a number of online tools you use daily. You can get your affiliate link for these companies, then write a blog post detailing why you can’t live without them and include your affiliate link within the posts. You’ll receive payment each time someone clicks on your personal link.
Once you start generating a decent amount of traffic to your blog, you can also apply for ads, so you’ll get paid just for having someone click onto your website.
2. YouTube Channel
As with blogging, you will have to keep adding to your channel, and make sure you’re marketing this correctly. However if videos are part of business strategy anyway, make sure to add these to YouTube and start seeing the passive income rolling in once you have regular video views.
Printables are great, as you can work around your talents for these. If you’re super organised, create printable to-do-lists, or a planner. If your niche is in the wedding industry, create a wedding planner printable. If you’re in the health and fitness industry, you can create meal planners. If you’re blogging, you can create content calendars. There’s absolutely something you can create that’s relevant to your skillset or your niche, so make this once, and let the money come to you by selling on Etsy or directly on your website.
Similar to printables, this is a digital product you can create around your skillset. If you’re a Pinterest Manager, you create Pinterest templates and sell these. If you’re a Social Media Manager, you can offer ‘fill in the blanks’ social media posts. If you’re a Graphic Designer you can sell logo templates. The list is endless with digital templates, and like printables, are always in high demand.
Your knowledge is in demand. People want to learn the skills you’ve got, and to build their own business just like you have. And, they’re willing to pay good money to find out exactly how you’ve done that successfully. So create an E-Book detailing exactly that. I know you might be thinking the market is oversaturated with other experts in your field, however, it’s not been told in your voice yet, and your own personal story, and your way of teaching.
This works perfectly with the E-Book, as you can use the information you’ve provided within your E-Book, but expand on this with videos. Obviously, you don’t need to have an E-Book to create a course, but it’s a good way to double your opportunity for passive income, with less of the work! People pay $1000’s for courses, so why not let that be you!
You can also set up paid membership sites. If you’re really business savvy, you can pull all of the above into your paid membership to make less work for yourself. For example, the information you’re rolling out in blog posts is shared within your membership, any printables you may have created are rolled out for free within the membership. Members have lifetime access to any courses or E-Books you’ve created, and then just add a few additional bonuses.
Unlock your millionaire mindset, and start building your own passive income today.
