Whilst the opportunity to add an extra phone number to your mobile phone sounds enticing, as you´ll se from these Hushed reviews, there are better solutions.
The Drawbacks
There have been reports of connectivity issues, with one user saying “I found that while I could hear the other person on the line, they often could not hear me.”
There are many potential suppliers of additional numbers and some very cheap and even free. As the old adage goes; ‘You get what you pay for’ – make sure your supplier offers the highest quality (preferably non-VoIP) or don’t be surprised if you suffer from quality issues.

Quality of service whether for calls or SMS is always going to be hit & miss using a VoIP communications steam. VoIP is dependent on you have a good internet connection whether Mobile data or WiFi, and these can never be guaranteed.
Wanted a number to text a new work team without giving out personal information. After sending about 7 texts, I was logged out of the account and get an error message when I try to log back in. This was on a paid option, very frustrating.
Support team are still useless, send a few messages and get barred for spam. No direct methods of contacting support just as and when they feel like. I have had the app 2 years and nothing but trouble, there was a 2 month period where phone calls were broken, sometimes the app just refuses to work properly and you recieve missed calls/texts 2 days later. Now I can't even get into my account that I have paid for.
