How to Grow your Business – surround yourself with incredible people!
Look at any wannabee sports star, and you’ll find them training and practising with people better than themselves. They will push every day to become better than; those around them, their coaches and their peers.
Business is no different to sport. This idea of playing with someone better than you translates nicely to your personal and career successes as well, and that’s why it’s important to surround yourself with people who are winners.
We need people, whether they’re teachers, mentors, family or trusted friends, who challenge us and push us to be better. The right circle of influence raises the bar, helping us to set new, loftier expectations of ourselves. Often times, we don’t know what we are capable of until we see others achieve. When we surround ourselves with positive, successful people, they consciously (and subconsciously) challenge us to be our best selves.
Highly successful people are generally willing to share what it really takes to make things happen. They have the ability to help you learn from the mistakes they’ve made along the way and the “tricks and tips” to help you reach your goals faster.
Many entrepreneurs and business people aspire to be the smartest person in the room on every topic. But if you’re always the smartest person, how can you learn anything, how can you grow?

Seek out leaders in your field and get some real face time with them.
Navigate around the Naysayers
We all know the people who feel wronged or hard done by, rolling from one drama to another and constantly in turmoil. Some are jealous & vindictive, and some just can’t help it, but they will try to bring you down with them. Even if close family, avoid being with them and stay away from their negative energy, or when they try to bring you down, change the subject to more positive avenues.
If you yourself get low, and if you are running a business, it will happen, surround yourself with winners. Unlike the naysayers, the winners will; listen, offer advice and give you the energy to bounce right back.

conXhub has been a roller coaster ride, and although I have been around long enough not to expect anything different, the downs can still hurt. Like being a boxer, you prepare mentally and physically for those punches to the stomach, but they can still wind you when they come!

I salute and give thanks to our advisory board and those who have helped us navigate troubled waters, and I implore you as a business owner to get at least one mentor to help carry you to the next level.
Find and focus on relationships with those who are better, but willing to share their wins and positive vibes with you and help you realize that you can achieve more.
