The world of telecoms is a fascinating space. Huge advances in communication have been made in just a short 50-year time span, enabling us to communicate with each other at every point on the planet and even into space.
As with any new technology, the latest & greatest tech has come at a price and for the most part only the largest of companies have been able to afford the best parts.
ConXhub is looking to address this situation, making its enhanced communications tools available to all, levelling the playing field between SoHo’s, SMB’s and Corporations.
Let’s take a look at some of the current tech, which is still being peddled as state of the art…
For most businesses communications starts with a Landline Number, effectively a second phone line for which they can be recognised when making calls instead of just being a random phone numbers UK. There are many suppliers where you can buy phone number for business but a lot of them hide numbers which are of high value or make you use a Phone Number Lookup service.
The Phone Number world has changed considerably from the days of ordering new lines from your local supplier like BT and waiting for cables to be installed by engineers. Indeed, it is now really easy to get a Free Phone Number or even a Fake Phone Number, Multiple virtual phone numbers or Cheap Virtual Phone Numbers Free.
Phone numbers are no longer simply attached to cables, they are now available in the cloud, for anyone to use, from anywhere in the world which means there is no longer a quantity restriction too. Skype for business multiple phone numbers was the first to highlight the capability to support Multiple phone numbers and in this video we demonstrate how to call multiple phone numbers at once.
Telecoms may seem fast paced and exciting but the reality is very different. It is still an exciting environment but change happens very slowly. This is down to the huge investment in infrastructure required whenever new technology is born. Firstly, companies need to maximise their return on investment for existing infrastructure and so are unlikely to rip up old just to add a new fad and secondly, a lot of beta testing of equipment is required before actual deployment and because telecoms is a public entity it will need to meet a lt of safety and environmental regulations before actual deployments, so bureaucracy will stifle speed.
Although ConXhub added virtual, cloud-based phone numbers to its portfolio in 2002, mainstream providers were slow to pick up and these have only recently become part of everyday life since around 2016. To this end, many companies are now offering low-cost Virtual Phone numbers linked to VoIP, VoIP Phone and VoIP Phone System solutions. The growth in this arena is staggering and this has led to a huge increase in VoIP Providers… indeed there are some 9,000+ different Virtual VoIP Phone System providers in the UK alone. The reality is they are pretty much all selling the same solutions just rebadged VoIP Switchboard from one of the big 5 major suppliers.
VoIP solutions basically comprise a PBX (Private Branch Exchange) otherwise known as a telephone switchboard, either fixed on premise or in the cloud. These PBX’s are connected to the internet and offer up end user credentials. End users then attach desk phone handsets or VoIP softphones to the internet using account parameters which identify where the PBX is and what account settings to use and the phone connects to the PBX as an extension. The PBX manages inbound calls from various phone numbers routing those calls to various attached extensions depending on how the end user has configured it.
A whole series of options are available to the end use to route calls effectively. These include welcome greetings, Time conditions, hunt groups ad queues, out of hours and busy messages, voicemail to email, music on hold and call data records.
The PBX is also connected to a communications provider who has the capability to pass calls around the global communications network to a recipient. An end user will dial a phone number, this will be picked up by the PBX and then passed on to the provider who will forward then call to the recipient.
The communications provider and probably the PBX will be pretty robust and effective in their role, but an end user will be 100% dependent on third party internet suppliers to enable the handset to connect and operate properly. This is where issues are most likely and the highest level of poor call quality, connectivity issues and dropped calls occur.
Companies can spend additional budget on shoring up internet networks, but with so many people now working remotely, this is a difficult job.
ConXhub, has replaced that last leg completely. It has zero reliance on local internet connections and instead utilises the far more advanced and dedicated Mobile Voice Network. This alleviates 100% of the connectivity issues suffered by VoIP and has the added advantage of being 100% mobile, so users can actually use the service wherever they are, even when on the move.
Before diving into the complex world of VoIP, it might be worth taking a look at: What is VoIP and VoIP Meaning – there is a lot of core information on these pages to give you good insight into the workings of VoIP.
VoIP has brought a lot of changes to the communications industry basically taking it from an analogue world to a digital one. A huge number of features and functions making us almost switchboard free in terms of fixed office-based equipment are now available to business. Call Forwarding, and things like Time-of-Day announcements, Virtual receptionists, music on hold, voicemail to email, queues & hunt groups are all attainable even as a SOHO Phone System. In fact, so versatile and low cost are the new SOHO VoIP Phone systems that we are about to see a massive explosion in SOHO VoIP.
Before I move on and chat about what is coming next, what will replace VoIP and in fact what is already here.. I just want to touch on a couple of areas of outdated technology that is still seeing huge demand but outdated: hiding number and dual SIM mobile.
The continual rise in spam, hacking and data breaches has led to a rapid increase in people not wanting to expose their personal phone numbers. You only have to look on the internet at the volume of Google searches for terms like:
These are just some of the search terms used by people desperate to keep their personal data safe.
The other service that historically allows you to keep your main personal number private is that of having a second SIM in your phone or in other words Dual SIM Phone UK – for those looking for a UK Dual SIM Phone.
In essence the mobile phone has an additional SIM slot which accepts another full size SIM card – you can obtain a SIM Cad and contract form any supplier and the 2 SIM’s can be from different operators as long as the phone is unlocked.
Software in the phone will allow you to select which SIM slot you wish to use for each call – but this can be a little clumsy and does not always work with all versions of apps you may have installed.
Today, end users are looking for alternative solutions. Having an additional mobile number on the phone, overcomes a few issues and will certainly keep your principle phone number safe, but it is really limited is pretty expensive having an additional tariff, and limits your choice of phone, at which many people are asking: Can you add a second line to your cell phone or whether there is a 2nd line apk for android or similar for IOS available?
People, especially business people don’t want to be limited by an additional mobile number they want to know if they can add a business phone number on cell or put a business line on cell phone which will give them far more scope.
The great news is that technology has moved on, and there are now several suppliers offering clients the ability to have one SIM card with multiple phone numbers effectively allowing users the ability of using personal phone for business and extending the abilities and capabilities of their personal mobile phone.
Some of those companies are listed here:
Each of these is great at what it does but they are all extremely limited when compared to ConXhub – most are VoIP only, which means to work you will need to have an internet connection, and whilst that doesn’t seem too bad, consider what happens when you are on the move! Conversely, ConXhub is effectively a non voip phone system – it does not need an internet connection to work, and instead operates over the Mobile Voice network, a system designed to offer optimum HD call quality, 100% connectivity and most important of all
Most only offer one additional phone number and at most 5, whereas ConXhub is 100% unlimited, a true advocate of Multiple phone numbers on one phone, with some existing clients successfully using the service with a staggering 18,000+ numbers…
Every conceivable function and feature is available to the end user, no matter what size they are, from Trades People, SoHo to SMB’s and Corporates – they even have a host of enviable Call centre features which given the new norm of working from home or remotely are the envy of every VoIP supplier on the planet.
ConXhub is the perfect complement to every flexi work organisation, as there is nothing to install, no additional equipment to buy and a user can work from absolutely anywhere even on the move. Given the workforce is more flexible than ever & is unlikely to return to full time office work, being able to communicate seamlessly from a personal mobile phone whilst keeping the personal mobile number private is a necessity. Whilst it is fine for consumers, VoIP simply does not offer the stability and quality of service required for business.
When you are on a business call, clarity of conversation is critical, as is the ability to connect first time and to be guaranteed that the call will not drop. VoIP simply cannot offer these guarantees and there are mountains of stories centred around distressed staff having to deal with protracted calls that drop at point of closing a deal or having to hang up and pick up their personal mobile to continue a call because the VoIP call quality was so poor.
ConXhub has been designed from the ground up to operate in any condition or environment utilising the dedicated Mobile Voice network as its communication backbone and a brand-new PBX stack bringing fast, agile switchboard features to every client.
ConXhub is a pioneer in communications it has developed a solution to help every size business benefit from having a complete communications solution in their pocket and at the lowest price possible.
One of the other areas ConXhub has been prevalent in is that of privacy. We live in a world of data hacking and abuse and there is nothing worse than finding your personal data being abused on the internet.
One area you can protect yourself is with online sms verification – this is where you can use an alternate phone number to verify yourself online without giving out your real personal number. SMS verification or sms verification online where you can receive SMS online is becoming a critical service for many households.
Where ConXhub differs from all the services which allow you to receive sms verification online is that they are actually a non voip verification service. Instead of needing to be connected to the internet, ConXhub allows receive sms no voip by allowing users to receive sms via email or direct to their personal mobile number without letting anyone know what that number is. ConXhub pioneered sms2email which is exactly what it sounds like sms 2 email they will send any receive SMS to email – amazing!!!
The benefits of this are huge, from keeping your own mobile number private to having multiple recipients who can receive a SMS on their personal mobile phones or even in to their email inbox.
Literally thousands of customers are enjoying the benefits of non voip verification and our sms2email service using the service to not only verify their personal details on sites like google, paypal, tinder, facebook and yahoo, but also to earn a living from survey sites like one-opinion, pure profile, Rewards Genius and flexi working sites like Fiver.
