Pre-conXhub, the company was running a highly successful VoIP solution business, counting amongst its clients, Shell Oil and US dept. of Defense. In addition, it managed services for many SME’s and corporate clients.
At the same time, the company was running a highly profitable MVNO. It had agreements in place to carry international traffic via it’s VoIP services.
Shortly after launching services, it added a multi-number feature which allowed users to change their CallerID when making calls.
The company started selling B2B services via the MVNO instead of the VoIP service.
Anyone involved in the sale and maintenance of VoIP services will acknowledge their support teams are plagued with tickets & calls centred on service failures!
Ironically, the MVNO, whilst effectively selling the same services as the VoIP side of the business, had zero tickets!
It became apparent very quickly, that we had effectively solved, the “First Mile” issue. That is the connection from the end user (Desk Phone, PC SIP Phone or Mobile Soft-Phone) to the communications network.
